I wouldn't necessarily say those terms "space fantasy" and "sci-fi" for Star Wars and Halo respectively is entirely accurate, as both series possesses elements of both, with several Star Wars works such as the Incredible Cross Sections and novels such as Catalyst going over the development of the Death Star is more fitting of the "science fiction" term rather than fantasy, and the existence of The Domain and the Precursors is clear evidence of "space fantasy" for Halo.Īs for world building, as much flak as they get from fans, the Prequel films have done an impressive job as expanding the Star Wars universe, showing us a Galaxy full of life, from the under water city of the Gungans, to the immense city of Coruscant, to the lava rives of Mustafar, while at the same time making the Star Wars universe far more complex in nature with the existence of the Senate and the Clone Wars conflict, and how a single man had managed to manipulate Galactic level events, creating Galactic scale wars all as a means to accumulate more power until he is able to reform the Republic into The Galactic Empire, and placing himself as Emperor.
